Beta 6
Thinking that a Beta 6 has to be right around the corner, I figured I'd open up post related to its imminent arrival.
Questions I have related to Beta 6 that maybe someone from LOGOS can weigh in on prior to the release of the beta:
Will Beta 6...
- remove the need for a complete re-indexing of the resources?
- have additional resources optimized for L4? If so, can we be informed which ones?
- will wieghts and measures be implemented with this round?
I am sure there are others that have questions so we'll start there for now .
In Christ,
Ken

When Beta6 is released, it will be announced here, along with a long list of what's new and known issues.

Bohuslav,
That thought can really take the joy out of looking forward to a new beta. The consolation hopefully will be faster indexing in Beta 6.

Let the NICNT/NICOT ship before OR during beta 6 release, that way we get one indexing. It will be nice if all updates and all beta 6 fixes are sent all at once, that way we do not have multiple indexing upon indexing.

That would be nice Ted, however, NICOT/NICNT is worth of a new indexing. Take it from the positive side. At least we will really know we finally have it [:)]

If we are using L4, and everything is sync'd via the web, do we need to have the CD/DVD in hand in order to have NICNT/OT load into our L4 libraries? Won't it float down out of the cloud automatically?

Logos has said that they haven't turned on automatic downloads yet for any resources other than the Logos4 specific resources.

Now, this i am not sure of but i do remember reading that L4 picks up new purchases via the clouds as soon as ones credit card is billed. I am not sure if this applies to CD/DVD also.
