Wow...did not realize that, thanks. I took a class from Clint Arnold, his works are some really good stuff! He is also writing a commentary on Ephesians for the upcoming Zondervan Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament (though dare I mention 'Zondervan' in the forums...it seems that some see it as a four-letter word [:S] )

Clinton Arnold also writes the entry for Ephesians in the Zondervan Illustrated Bible Backgrounds commentary (besides being overall editor)

I found those books very interesting. Author's theology is supported by many years of the practical experience in that area of ministry.

We cannot have a collection that addresses the occult without the venerable German author Kurt E. Koch (deceased; and note: he is not the living Swiss Roman Catholic born in 1950).
Kurt Koch was a pioneer regarding our modern understanding of occult and demon possession. What makes him so valuable is that he has both a belief/experience in the reality of the occult and demonic activity as well as a zeal to differentiate that from mental illness. We see the Bible itself making such differentiations (sickness, possession, sickness caused by Satan, etc). I encountered him while doing research on the occult for a youth counseling class while working with a teenager who was caught up in the occult. Here are some of Kurt Koch's (a Lutheran) books dealing with the occult (he has many others on different topics--second coming, speaking in tongues, missionary field experience, etc):
- Christian Counseling and Occultism: A Complete Guidebook to Occult Oppression and Deliverance
- Demonology Past and Present: Identifying and Overcoming Demonic Strongholds
- Occult ABC: Exposing Occult Practices and Ideologies
- Occult Bondage and Deliverance: Counseling the Occultly Oppressed
- Occult Practices and Beliefs: A Biblical Examination from A to Z
- The Lure of the Occult: 193 Case Studies of Occult Enslavement and Deliverance
Finding a complete listing is not easy. There may be other titles of his with the Occult theme that are different, or just rebranded. However, his insight was groundbreaking in its day, and still a benchmark/standard for serious study in occult today.

I can definitely recommend Koch's "Christian Counseling and Occultism: A Complete Guidebook to Occult Oppression and Deliverance."
It was given to me by Grayson Ensign, another author (and retired Bible college president) who wrote a very helpful book on demon oppression & possession. That book is. "Bothered? Bewildered? Bewitched? and is out of print but available used. I'd really like it in Logos along with Koch's books.

[Y]. How this escaped me I cannot tell. I have all his books in my paper library and I am surprise it did not occur to me to suggest it's inclusion in Logos. Many thanks for drawing my attention and others to this resource.

Wow, really?! Any ones that you especially like? I am curious, too, are any of those duplicates/retreads (I saw a book on Google Books under one title, but the book cover showed a different one. SOmething about "Devil's Alphabet" or ABC's or something).
I think I have only read one, a hardbound at the library, and I don't remember the title.

i read koch in bible school he is deep indeed. I am currently interested in his work in africa i believe this is where he got his experience in demonology. Has he done any specific writing on his africa missions?
