Perhaps a page something like http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4_Release_Notes could be created for resources updates. I know there's one at http://wiki.logos.com/Resource_Update_History, but it's incomplete.

Hi, this may be some silly questions but I see that "Bible Study Magazine: Free Book Preview" is included.
1. Does this mean that Bible Study Magazine is about to be released in Logos format along with the print? If so, will we have a choice of our preferred format?
2. If it is not going to be available electronically can we delete this after downloading? I have been a subscriber since the first edition and don't expect I'll need just a trial.

Hi Bruce, welcome to the forums!
As far as I recall, when updates/corrections are pushed out, Melissa does put an email out. File updates usually come in large groups. Program updates are always pinned to the top of the proper forum (i.e. Logos 4 forum or beta forum). If a resource you purchased on prepub is coming out, you will know because you get an email about it. There may have been a slip or two over time by mistake, (I seem to remember a help file update we didn't know about), but in general this has seemed very reliable to me...

Is there any way to tell which resources I personally received short of typing each one into the library search one by one. I always like to have at least a little idea of what is in my library so i know what to search for when i need it, lol. Right now i'm living with the thought that i could have incredible resources that i don't even know are there - what a nightmare, lol!

There are suggestions on how to rate your books and thus know when a new one arrives in this link. Getting to know all those resources... - Logos Bible Software Forums
The version of Logos in beta testing will make this easier when it comes out. The new version will have a Last Updated heading in the library so that you will know which books were recently added or updated. We may end up still using the star rating method that is discussed in the link though, depending on how well the Last Updated header works. Other users also use the star rating method to keep track of which books they have read or highly regard.

One more thing I'll recommend is the wiki page An update is downloading, what is it? It should answer all the questions you might have about the resource updates that don't get listed in Resource Update History.
Also there have been many requests for an info window to come up within Logos that would tell us in advance what updated resources are going to download and what the download size will be, so that we can opt to defer it if there's nothing urgent in it that we need right away and we're busy right now or are nearing our bandwidth cap for the month, and also just so we know what is changing. If this interests you, go to the UserVoice forum and vote on this feature.

Just curious, but anybody know why the ESV Study Bible was just updated, or what changes were made in it? The original download I got in September weighed in at about 251 MB, while this new one is about 30 MB lighter, at 231 MB.
Both were .Logos4 versions too.

Use the Windows Explorer (or Mac Finder) to open the Resources folder, under:
Logos4\data\{random|\ResourceManager\ResourcesSort by date modified, and compare with the names and dates in Melissa Snyder's list (top of this thread.)
You are unlikely to have received new resources if you did not own them, but this will let you see which of yours were updated.
