Bug: Paged View hangs

Paged view hangs up after paging down with 2 column viewing and it turns into single column, then paging up after a few pages (seems that a map image is not being processed by L4).

(movie is in .wmv)  Video

In the video, watch the mouse in the lower right corner. Each time that you seem it move back over the paging arrows a click is occurring. Pay attention when paging up. It hangs on Acts 27:3 and page up stops working. But you can page down. But page up will never get past Acts 27:3.

EDIT:

My desktop breezed through the maps etc. in a 4 column Reading View and in a 2 column (normal) panel. I might find it slower on my laptop which is more comparable to your Core2. How does it play in Reading view?

    Dave,

it is not a speed issue. Like you it breezes thru maps and charts OK for the most part. This was a problem early on in the beta and i noted it then. It seemed to go away in later betas. i am probably not describing it very well (that is why i added the video). What i am seeing is a ceiling when paging up. When it hits this ceiling i can page up all night and L4 remains at the ceiling and will not go to earlier scripture pages. But if i hit page down it immediately goes down a page. i can even go down several pages and then start paging up and it pages up until it hits this same ceiling and refuses to page up beyond that page. If i go to maximized screen, then it allows me to page up (and usually shows that map image which was not shown when i hit the ceiling) beyond the ceiling.

I am seeing the same behavior if I scroll down as far as Acts 28:30-31 and the beginning of the article "Reading the Epistles," where it changes to single column (not sure why--perhaps because of the table in that article). Then when I scroll back up, it stops at Acts 27:3, just as you described.

I'll submit your report to development. Thank you.

Edit:  I found that this occurs only when the resource is open in a floating window.

We both missed something important. I described my experience as being in both Reading view and a normal panel, but did not think to try a floating window because you hadn't mentioned it ie. floating window might be normal to you but it is exceptional for me to use one!

    Sorry Dave!

Guess my communications skills could use some real improvement. i seldom use the reading view, and mostly use the floating windows (another instance of God's diversity in His design). Probably due to using the mouse more than the keyboard. Thanks for taking time to look into this!

This will be fixed in the next beta.
