Logos on Android

I have ordered a Samsung Galaxy Tab (Android) and will be using this more than I currently use my laptop PC, if it works as well as I think it will. I have already switched much of my work to a Galaxy Epic Smart Phone so I know the capabilities of using this in a work environment for email, schedules, notes, etc. I have many versions of the Bible on my Android phone, now and will be using this for study. I rarely even carry a Bible, anymore (except for the sake of appearance).

I would like to use Logos on my Android Tab since it will replace the laptop that I currently use. The Tab can easily become a Book Reader, so I believe it should work well for Bible study. Hence, I will be moving most of my laptop work to the Android platform. I've also discovered that I don't need a keyboard since I can use my voice to enter data for email, etc.

Does anyone know when Logos will be available for the Android Operating System? I will be holding off further purchases of Logos products until I find out how well it will work with Android.

I know this is available for the iPad, so I believe it should work well with the Android system, also. How do those of you who have the iPad Logos application like the way it works? Have you switched from using your PCs to the iPad? Long ago, I wouldn't have thought this possible, but at that time, I was still using a Desktop PC. I don't own a working Desktop any longer. I can see the time when I will have switched completely away from a laptop to a smart phone and/or Tablet.

I don't know when Logos will make an app for the Android system. But I like how it works on my iPad.

Does anyone know when Logos will be available for the Android Operating System?

They are working on an Android app, but that's all they've announced. They generally do not give projected release dates for new software in advance. Once it is in beta testing, they'll let people know about it, but still won't give a target ship date. However, when you hear that it has gotten to the beta stage, you'll know the ship date is getting closer. We have no idea how far along they are in the development of it. The hint that they are working on it was only posted on the website about a month ago.

I now have the Android Beta installed on both my Samsung Epic 4G and my Samsung Galaxy Tab. Both are running Android 2.2 but I expect to update the Tab to Gingerbread (2.3) today.

The beta is currently mostly a basic reader with no search capability, much like many Bible Readers (such as Olive Tree) available today. However, their plans for the future look fantastic. I recommend installing the Logos Android Beta and be a part of the team testing and providing suggestions for the future.
