Another plug for the Lion History Series pre-pub

This is one of the few pre-pubs that you can still get at the same price it was when I first noticed it and jumped in (over two years ago). It's about 75% subscribed now, a 10 volume set for $69.96, that's less than $7 per volume. It's a great collection of accessible, beautifully illustrated accounts of major characters and epochs in the history of Christianity: Jesus and His World, Paul and His World, The Expansion of Christianity, Augustine and His World, Faith in the Byzantine World, Faith in the Medieval World, Francis of Assisi and His World, Christianity and the Celts, Luther and His World, Faith in the Age of Reason.

Do you know if pictures will be included in this serious? [;)] I was hoping that we have the pictures as great illustrations.

My previous experience with Christian History Magazine where all pictures were removed for Vol 9 + 52-99 taught me not to assume.

I am quoting what is exactly quoted on the pre-pub, noticed that there is no mention about pictures will be included in there. Do you have some insider information to confirm that Logos will include pictures, etc, in your earlier post? Just curious.

I don't have any insider guarantee that pictures will be included, but I will ask. They are so integral to the print edition that I surely hope so! Yes, it is disappointing that the pictures were not included in Christian History magazine. But they are not included in the magazine's online archives either, so that is not surprising. Logos has included pictures in other resources (such as Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary) so unless there is some copyright issue they can't resolve, I would imagine they would do all they could to include them. But I'll ask my "insider" sources and get back to you...

Logos has included pictures in other resources (such as Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary) so unless there is some copyright issue they can't resolve, I would imagine they would do all they could to include them. But I'll ask my "insider" sources and get back to you...

Yeehaw!! How did that happen? Last time I checked it, just a couple of weeks ago, it still had a long way to go. They must have decided they were tired of waiting and pushed it through anyway in spite of not having enough orders yet. Perhaps other projects have been going so well as to be able to subsidize this one. I am psyched!
