Hello, Logos 4.2a Beta 2 indexer says indexing has stopped because there is not enough HDD space. However, I have it. On both of my computers HDD space is plenty.
How much free space is there?
You'll need to post your Logos4Indexer.log to diagnose the problem. It will give more info than the screenshot.
Is it continguous space?

Here are the logs. Yesterday the indexer failed again with the same message.
Free HDD space on my partitions are: 1.5 GB on system (Win7) partition and 4 GB on data partition, where Logos 4 is installed with all binaries and resources.
I don't know. But I don't think Logos 4 cares about free space on such a low level, since it is .Net based software.

How much RAM do you have, how big is your paging file (virtual memory) and what drive is it located on (look in Advanced System Settings -- see http://community.logos.com/forums/p/27157/200519.aspx#200519)? 1.5GB and 4GB respectively sound like a lot of hard disk space, but it's really not a lot. You probably have 3 or 4GB of RAM, and the paging file is usually set to 1.5 times the amount of physical memory you have, and that fills up the "free" space on your hard disk while things are running. So you might really be up against a full hard disk situation. You can reduce the size of your paging file for now, but that will slow things down. Ultimately you're going to need to free up some space on your disk(s) and or upgrade to a bigger secondary one.
EDIT: Also, how big is your entire hard disk? Probably with Win 7 it's at least 250GB. So having only 5.5GB free means it is at least 98% full, if not more. That is time to get a new hard disk!

First of all, your indexer log doesn't have any errors or failures in it. Is that a log from when it failed?
Secondly, that is not plenty of space. My indexes (main index + bible index) take up more than 3.5 GB. I suspect that the indexer uses more than that (maybe considerably more) when it's working.
I also suspect you are actually running out of space.
You need at least 25% free space on the system C: partition if Windows is to mange disk space efficiently eg. reduce fragmentation. You should have at least 10 GB free space on the data partition so that Logos can index properly.
That error message Logos puts up is deceptive. Having "at least 1GB" of disk space free is nowhere near enough. They should update it to be more realistic about how much space this particular user should have.
I agree. And the error message reminds me of Windows 3.1 days, because of the font size :-)
I will try to increase space and reindex my library. Just purchased Platinum, so the HDD requirements grew up.
