I am creating a sermon outline in notes and would like to have a scripture reference open up my favorite bible to that reference when I click on it. Is there a way to make this happen?
I might add, I usually have to space after the reference to get it to turn to a hyperlink.
A space is not really necessary. When I enter a link I paste the URL into the Hyperlink Box then simply click anywhere on the page. If you forget to "set" the link, however, and migrate to a different window it's lost.
George, I partly understand what your saying but some of it isn't quite clear to me. I am using windows and the OP wanted a link from notes back to his Bible. The two easiest ways are to type the reference and hit the space bar and its done. The second way is to click on the reference box in your Bible so that the reference turns blue and drag it to your note and then click outside your note. You don't have to copy or paste anything. Is this what you meant and are you using windows?

If you type the reference (E.G. Gen 2:15) it should automatically create a hyperlink. If you then CTRL+CLICK on it it should open.

That was my problem, I wasn't hitting the spacebar. I was just clicking in another area. Thanks for the responses, they were very helpful.

How do I add a hyperlink to the note file?
QLinks, Bibl2, LLR, Macros

Thanks for all your work on the Wiki!
However, you might want to add that automatic Bible links don't work on Mac yet. [:'(]
(And if you're really ambitious you can also add Rut, Est, and Hagg to the list of acceptable Bible book abbreviations on that linked page.)
(And, yes, one day I will learn to do it myself, but right now I don't even have enough time to learn the program properly.)
