Do you mean the iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS. I have been using it on my 3GS and it works great.

I suppose it depends entirely on what your expectations are and what you mean by "how well".

I have Logos on iPhone 3G, running iOS4. But then again, I don't use Logos on iPhone often, only when I'm away from both my home or office computers, both of which have Logos running on them, and desperately in need to look up something in Logos. In such situations, I'm satisfied with it's performance.

If there are specific benchmarks you have in mind (like how long it takes to open a book in your library), let me know and I can test it out for you.

  • Thanks Theophilus. It is the 3G. I have read that it works better on iphone4 than 3Gs. The one I am considering getting is 3G. As the application continues to develop, will the phone be able to keep up?

Well the 3G is now a couple years old. It runs iOS 4.2.1 better but it has always been borderline in it;s running of the iOS 4,  I would expect that iOS 5 will most likely drop support of 3G phones, I am not sure the 3G or even the 3GS are a wise buy since this items develop so fast. (I am a 3GS user and have no plans on upgrading for a coupe years). The 4G took a major jump in several areas and while I doubt  there will be huge improvements in iPhone 2011, the more faster iphones out there the more companies will take advantage of them. If you have a super deal on a 3G take advantage of it but otherwise bide you time and maybe pick up a 4G when the new phones come out and people are clambering to get 2011.

PS: The phones are super upgradable, if you have a iphone 3G and want to upgrade to a new model it;s just a matter of syncing and you should find all your content on the new phone. So you are not investing in the phone you have only but any future iphone you get.

PPS: if you can live without the phone the iPod touch that just came out is very similar to the 4G for a whole lot cheaper.

  • Thanks Dan. Logos says it will work, on 3G, but I think I will wait.

I'm interested in purchasing an IPhone to use with my MacBook. I have no idea which one to get. I'm more on the low-end tech side, but I'm interested in becoming more proficient in accessing my Logos programs when I don't have my Mac with me.

I feel intimidated going into an AT&T store and don't know if it is different in a Mac Store. The salesmen seem to want to sell me an IPhone but they don't seem knowledgeable about how IPone interacts with a Mac.

I have an appointment at an Apple store this Wednesday and I'm looking for some good advise on what to ask for.

    Thank you,
