It should be. However, no word from Logos on a timetable. Last we heard Logos had not been granted access to the files yet.

Given that Biblica is completely doing away with the 1984 NIV, if we have that in our Logos libraries, we still get to keep it right?  Despite the fact that the revision replaces the old one?

I am quite confident that we will get to keep our "old" NIVs

Yes; we should have more information (about availability, etc.) for you by the end of the month.

If what happened with the NASB is anything to go by, then we should be okay with keeping our original NIV. I have both NASB and NASB 1995 in Logos 4 Mac, even though I bought NASB back in the days of Logos 1.6 and NASB 1995 in the days of Logos 2.0.

    1. I expect to be able to keep my old NIV - Anglicised (published and marketed by Hodder & Stoughton in the UK. That's who originally sold me Logos 1.6.)
    2. I expect to have to buy NIV 2011.
    3. I hope that there will be an Anglicised version, given that Hodder & Stoughton will again be the printers and distributers of the NIV in the UK.

    That would be great!

Aside from a few issues here and there, the translation work in the new NIV seems pretty good (not wild about them changing the sonship, inheritance picture in their sweeping inclusive language in Galatians 3).  But, I would like to keep the 1984 edition around for reference too.

FYI I just received an email from a Zondervan rep (regarding my blog) and it was stated in the email that the NIV 2011 would be released digitally on the 21st December (iTunes B&N etc)
