Probably a dumb question: How do I search the Septuagint properly

Hello..... I am trying to gather info on ὑπεροράω.... there have been others. I would like to search it in Septuagint (since its only in NT once)
What is the best way of doing this? I have Platinum. I can build a collection of what i have? Just looking for feedback. Merry Christmas

Run a Morph Search in "Logos LXX" using "Logos Greek Morphology" for "lemma:ὑπεροράω"

You can do a Bible Word Study on it; this is what you get. (note that on the right hand side; there is a LXX search; I did this by clicking a the bottom of the BWS panel in "textual searches" and choosing the LXX.)

Thanks for the help..... never realized the power of the word search (dumb). Is there a way when clicking on Textual search and seeing the Apostolic father used the word to see it in English?

Not really, the only way to do it is if the search results are found in a reference volume that also has an English edition; in which case you can do like I did for the LXX in my picture...just add a version. Note that the actual word won't be highlighted in the extra version...just the original searched version.

This only works in Bibles, not in the Fathers.

If you have Lake's Apostolic Fathers in English, you can change the search to that resource, as it's a reverse interlinear. To do so first run the Bible Word Study, then click on LXX, then change the search result to Lake's Apostolic Fathers in English.

Not sure exactly what you're asking, but there might be something useful for you in this link: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/27196.aspx.
