Cannot update to SR-1 (4.2.4.8289)

For some reason, Logos won't update to SR-1. I have tried to do "Update Now" with both beta channel and default channel. Is there a direct download?

The installer file should install the most up-to-date version:

I'm unable to update to SR-1 using the installer.

That doesn't tell us much!
We need to see some logs! Run the installer and then upload the logs in Documents\Logos Log Files.

The installer tells me I'm up to date. So, I'll leave it alone.

You can check the version by clicking the ? at top right and selecting About Logos Bible software.

It should, but doesn't. I get a pop-up that tells me I am up to date. However, Logos tells me I have a version that is earlier:

You have the Beta software which is newer than SR-1
As per http://community.logos.com/forums/t/27313.aspx, SR-1 is v4.20.4.8289 as opposed to your version which is 4.21...

D'Oh! I should not just have looked at the last few numbers of the build.

Fred, to get to the SR-1 release you can't be on the beta channel testing the beta, which is what you seem to be doing. If you want the SR-1 release, type Set Update Channel to Stable in your Command Box and hit enter. This should trigger a download of the SR-1 update. You will now be on the release version rather than the beta version. If that isn't what you want, just stay where you are with the beta version.

I don't think you can't switch out of the beta program in the middle of a beta cycle.

Now that you point that out you are obviously correct. Fred is on 4.2a beta. It would mean going backwards, which can't be done. Fred would have to uninstall and reinstall to get the 4.2 SR-1 version. Since he went in the direction of the beta in the first place I doubt he's interested in doing that.
