I see that with Beta6 typing CUV into the command box no longer opens the Chinese Union Version.

I am also disappointed to see that we still cannot search it for more than one character.

Will this be rectified?

Thanks,

Tom

    Hi Tom,

I've reported the first issue. Typing 'cuv' in Library brings up the Chinese versions. I'm not sure why it's not working in Command box.

The search issue most likely will be resolved in a post 4.0 version.

Typing CUV in the command box had previously opened the CUV Simplified version which is what I want. I'm not sure why this no longer works.

I'm glad to hear that searching will be fixed eventually

    Tom,

I agree that abbreviation CUV should be recognized.

However, you might want to know that if you enter the abbreviation given by Logos or the Publisher, you will indeed get the respective CUV Bibles

    • CUNPSMP - for the Simplified Text for CUV with NP - New Punctuation.
    • CUNPTDR - for the Traditional Text for CUV with NP - New Punctuation.
    • CUNP  - will give you options to open either Bible
    • RCUVNTSMP - for the Revised CUV

    Hope it helps

Those abbreviations are a little cumbersome...but it is nice how L4 shows you options when you type in CUN.

Where did you get the RCUVNTSMP? I emailed Phil Gons ages ago asking why I saw additional ZH-files online but nothing is listed on the Logos website for Chinese except the two original CUV volumes with NP (http://www.logos.com/products/groups/allitems/zh). Do you know of any other "secret" Chinese resources?

    Tom,

CUV would locate all CUV related Chinese Bibles in L4B8... By the way the old Abreviation works too! [:)]

    .... thanks Logos!

I see that it's back but it took five minutes...I installed Beta 8 and then tried it with no success, played around for five minutes and then tried again and voila it works. Thanks for the heads up and thanks Logos.
