Hiya,

I'm really wondering how to take a portion of scripture - say 1 peter 1:3-12 ... and see how many times each word appears in that portion of scripture ?? In just a list. I just want to find out major themes of certain passages by looking at word usage. Any other ideas to figure out the major themes of parts of Bible i'd really appreciate? :)

Thanks a bunch

Steve

For a limited portion of scripture you can do a morph search of "@N, @V, @J" (Whatever parts of speech you expect to provide key words) and sort by lemma.

Once Logos gets around to releasing word lists this kind of analysis should be easier. Also you might want to try using the Interesting Words section of the Passage Guide. It might highlight some interesting things.

Do a Morph search in a Greek bible on a Part of Speech (eg noun) and look at the results in Analysis view.  Drag Result to be the heading and then right click a word to Collapse All and see only the total word count.  You also do the analysis by Lemma (Greek).
