Windows 7/ Logos 3-Libronix

Hi,
I just got a new PC with Windows 7. I have reinstalled Libronix but it has some quirks. After I enter a Scripture verse- 1) the verse comes up with some squares in it. 2) If I ask for a word study, the study window is there, but is behind a blank window (on the left). I can only see the very top of the study and the scroll arrows.
Anyone know what is up?
Ross

Ross, the first sounds like a default font issue. Are you bringing up a verse in an English Bible or in another language?
I recall reports of a similar problem to the second, so will see if I can locate a solution. Are you using the Power Tools Add-in? (Under Tools>Options you'll see Power Tools).

Ross,
From what you were describing in point 2, it sounds like you are running an older version of Libronix (which may impact what is occurring in point number 1). To take care of this, follow the steps here. If that does not take care of point 1, then it could be because of a Greek font that needs to be fixed. To see if this is the case, open the Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament 27th Edition and see if there is any text in the window. If not, close Libronix, and go to C:/Windows/Fonts. In that folder, look for fonts with the name Gentium & delete them. Once those have been deleted, reopen Libronix and go to Tools > Libronix Update. Run the update that appears and when that is complete, restart Libronix. After that is complete, the issue of the squares showing up should be resolved. If that does not take care of it, either reply to this post, or contact Customer Support Monday-Friday from 6am-5pm Pacific Time at 800-875-6467.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the reply................ I solved the first problems by going to the website and getting updates. However, now the Scripture doesn't open up over in the right hand window............ I am not using the power tools add in. I'll take a look. Thanks!!

It doesn't open at all or just not on the right hand side? Are you trying to open it from the Home Page or from Library? Is it in your Library? Can you access other resources from your Library?

Run update from the tools menu. Under Optional you should see the power tools addin. Check that and proceed with the update. This will give you tabbed windows, so that you can stack windows up on top of each other and there will be a tab for each one visible at the bottom of the window. This prevents resources and tools from getting hidden from site. It also gives you the Go bar which is something like L4's Command Bar.
