customizing default layout

hello.
I've figured out how to change "my passage guide" and "my exegetical guide" ... thanks to the forums for pointing me in the right direction.
when i enter in a passage on the opening screen (the one with news) the stuff I want to look at comes up just nice.
however, it doesn't come up the way I'd like it to come up .... I get that I can save a new layout...but going to that layout (which one person here on the forums described it as a workspace) brings up the resources for that layout...
question #1: is there a way to change the this so that it looks like this when I enter in a passage?
question #2:
Months ago I was asking some questions about notes and clippings and someone (from Logos, I think) directed me to these GREAT videos by a (maybe British?) pastor ... I can't find those ... but I remember that video doing this very task ... any chance this sounds familiar?

Suggest naming layout. Looking at Link Sets, should be able to enter new passage in MPG panel - automatically update other 3.

Wiki page http://wiki.logos.com/Visual_Table_of_Contents has links to Logos videos and link to User created videos => http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4_Video_Tutorials (including Mark Barnes in UK)
