Trying to locate a feature

I have been a light user of Logos 3. My computer crashed and I took that as a good time to upgrade to Logos 4 and begin learning to use it more in depth. (I'm really enjoying all the videos people have created.) I have the Original Languages version.

I remember an interactive diagram that had a word at the center with related biblical words sprawling out from it in trees. Some of the words were closely related and others more remotely related. If I remember correctly, you could click on the various words and see information about them.

I've looked in Logos 4 and so far have not found that view. If I could remember what it was called, I could probably find something about it in the forums. Am I just looking in the wrong place or has that functionality been replaced by something else? Does anyone know what I am describing and can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Rob

Hi Rob - and welcome to the forums.

Not sure exactly what you mean but it could be the Bible Word Study feature - see http://wiki.logos.com/Bible_Word_Study for details

    Does this help?

It sounds like you could also be talking about the Passage Analysis. In L4 it looks like this

    image

If that is what you are looking for it is located in the tools menu under passage tools.

Thanks for the replies. I had looked at the features mentioned but none of those are what I was thinking of. I don't
think the feature I am remembering is in Logos 4, or else I'm just
remembering it wrong. I'm going to try and get my crashed computer
up and running long enough to see if I can find it there. If so, I'll
let you know what it was called.

    Rob,

In Libronix, was the "Bible Word Study" Feature what you were looking for? It can be found by going to Tools > Bible Study > Bible Word Study. Enter a word in the white box in the upper left hand corner of the screen and under Hebrew Root Words or Greek Root Words you will something like you were describing with the word in the center and additional words surrounding it. This feature is accessible in Logos 4 by going to Guides > Bible Word Study and entering the word you want to study.

Hopefully this is the feature you were looking for!

This was replaced by the "ring graph" (or "donut graph!") in the Bible Word Study Guide.

Thanks Deborah and Bob. I'm pretty sure that was it. The old diagram I remembered has been replaced. I've reinstalled Libronix on my new computer but for some reason, my reverse interlinear did not install. Otherwise I could check it there and know for sure. Does anyone have any ideas on why my reverse interlinear didn't install with the old Libronix?

No idea, Rob. You can always download it directly from the Logos ftp site. ftp://ftp.logos.com/lbxbooks/

Unless there is a license issue (which I doubt) that should fix the problem.

Thanks Mark, that helped. Now I can see the old diagram in Libronix. I didn't think I would, but I like the functionality of the new diagram in Logos 4 better and it is many, many, many times faster.
