Having problems with prioritizing resources...

Im having trouble prioritizing Dictionary of Deities and Demons in the Bible (DDD). After downloading the resource and indexing, I prioritized the resource to me desired location but no results. I then "merged Indexing" of my Library, still no results. For the final attempt I ran a full library Index before going to bed...This morning there was no results.
No results in Biblical people.
No results when "right clicking" and selecting the "section"
DDD is prioritized right under AYBD and ISBE, and is right above NBD yet seem to be absent in all the searches.
Any suggestions?

Currently the DDD is only indexed by Page number, not English headwords. This is why it is not available in the circumstances you describe above. Changes are coming to that resource, though, including the addition of English and other headwords. I don't know at this time when the updated resource will be ready to be published.

Melissa,
Is that detail about the resource indicated if you look at the resource's "Information"? (I don't have it, so I can't check that particular resource.) If so, there needs to be a way to "surface" that kind of information about resources, both within Logos itself and in the forums, wiki, and documentation. E.g. "If you don't see the results you'd expect when searching a specific resource, please check what aspects of the resource are indexed. Here's how..."

I second Donnie's suggestion. Being a new user (like me) is difficult enough, without having issues like this arise where it appears (to the new user and even experienced users) that Logos' functionality isn't working correctly when, in fact, it is. I've been struggling with this exact problem but thought I was doing something wrong because I am new to logos.

Yes it's on the Information page. See image:

Thanks for the prompt reply, Dominick.
It would be great if that same screen said, "This means you can't do these kinds of searches..."

I'll look at that for the wiki, possibly in Resources (under Library in the TOC).
One quick way is to right click the title of an article and see if it is a Headword (if I click any word in this article it will show "Modesty" as the Headword):-
Other resources that have "Modesty" as a headword are also shown.
The point here is that the absence of a Prioritized resource from the above menu does not mean it has NO headwords - it may not contain "Modesty"! So apply the quick test indicated and then realise that Indexing your Librayr will not improve the situation. Other users have recognized that the Dictionary of Deities and Demons in the Bible has no headwords and it is listed in this wiki page.

eg. you can't search for:-
- English headwords
- Greek headwords
- Latin Headwords
- Aramaic Headwords
- ...
- ...
- Greek Strong's numbers
- Hebrew Strong's numbers??[:D]
Strictly, you don't search for an Index item, as you want to perform a look up for it. The items you do search for are called Search Fields and they appear in the Search menu as an alternative to "All Text" or "All Bible Text", etc.

One thing that would help people know what to expect would be to put the same information on the information pane within the library that's shown on the information screen when the resource is open. I suggested that in the Suggestions forum and created a uservoice item for the feature:

Melissa,
Thank you for your response! I look forward to an update! This resource will be extremely valuable when tagged/Indexed correctly.
Thanks again.
