Can one of my Logos brothers or sisters recommend a product to answer the question: What happens to

Hi,
I had someone ask me that question and I gave them the 25 cent answer...the one sentence answer but clearly, there is a LOT going on with what happens when a person, believer or unbeliever, dies.....
I looked in my library, and found lots of info...Josh McDowell has a great section on all of this stuff in his apologetic handbook...but a question remains...
Can you recommend a resource that really lays all this stuff out? A "dummy's guide" of sorts..?

I just picked up a book whose focus is exactly this, in the Christmas "Master Collection":
If I Should Die before I Wake: What's Beyond This Life? (it's part of the Christian Focus Theological Studies Collection)
I haven't read it yet, of course, since I just got it. But it appears to cover all the bases. It has an appendix discussing the pros and cons of annihilationism, respectfully treating it as a very difficult question that perhaps cannot be resolved one way or the other, but giving strong arguments both ways. I did skim through that section, and based on how it is treated I am pretty sure the rest of the book will be worth reading.

I would Recommend N.T Wright's Suprised by Hope. Excellent treatment of the topic!

Edwin Lutzer's book "One minute after you die" is great for evangelistic purposes.
It presents the Bible teaching on what happens after death in a very
readable form. Unfortunately, you'll have to purchase the Erwin Lutzer
collection if you want it in Logos. The collection was a Facebook
special in December, but it seems to have been replaced by the Christmas specials now. I'm not sure if the codes are still valid."Upon a life I did not live, Upon a death I did not die, Another's life, another's death, I stake my whole eternity"

Hmmm... I think he's only asking about life after death, not life after life after death [;)]

Grudem's Systematic Theology has a couple of chapters which cover this
Chapter 41
Death and the Intermediate State
What is the purpose of death in the Christian life? What happens to our bodies and souls when we die?
Chapter 42
Glorification (Receiving a Resurrection Body)
When will we receive resurrection bodies? What will they be like?0 -

Alas it's not in Logos but the best book I've come across is Heaven by Randy Alcorn.

Robert, My dad asked the same question on his death bed last February - the best I could come up with was not a resource, but Jesus' words -- Lk 23.43 - "Today, you will be with me in paradise." He sat back in his bed and smiled. A wonderful and sacred moment. I look forward to reading these other fine suggestions.

I told you I found them in L4 Mac. I could not contaminate my installation by furnishing a link that would possibly be used on a Windows machine. [;)]
