Where will a new resource open? Very cool!

So I just noticed in the past few days, that when I open a new resource, it will be opened in a pane with other like resources! So if I have a Greek Bible open in one place, an english Bible open next to it, and a commentary next to that, any Greek Bible I open will stack with the Greek Bible that is already open. Opening a new English bible places it with the other English bibles. Opening a new commentary places it with the already open commentaries. That is really, really, neat! Thanks for thinking through and implementing this feature!

Thank you so much for noticing this! :-)

I'm particularly proud of this bit of cleverness, which uses some cool ideas underneath, and wondered if anyone would see it -- or if it would just be part of making the app feel like "it's just right".

If you open lots of panes, you'll see that it does a pretty good job of grouping like books, on criteria much more fine-grained than just resource type. The same logic is used when you take lots of panes and use the Layout menu to reduce to 2, 3, or 4.

Sorry Bob. I had noticed this and was just enjoying it. Looking forward to the day when we go live with 4.0. Will make some of my colleagues very excited.

Yes, I noticed that also,  but somehow I took it for granted in the new sophisticated layout of Logos 4. I am sorry for that. I really like the feature and yes, it feels "just right". Thank you so much for that.

This is appreciated Bob, but human nature as fallen as it is we tends to notice and  comment more about the things we don't like.

I'll have to try harder! I just performed an experiment, and it should help me get books opened where I want.

    Thanks, Bob.
