Getting the Info out of the Window

This is what I copied and pasted:
... (Mt 12:18), particularly in offering his “soul” or “life” as “a ransom” or redemption price on behalf of “many” (“the many”; Is 53:10–12; compare Mt 26:28; Rom 5:15; see Cullmann 1959:64–65; pace Hooker 1959:74–79).*
The language here is that of substitutionary ...
Craig S. Keener, Matthew, The IVP New Testament commentary series (Downers Grove, Ill.: InterVarsity Press, 1997). Mt 20:24.
NOTE: the asterix is hyper-linked. It has a paragraph of text that is germaine to my study. If I float the mouse cursor over it, I get the baloon with the text. If I click on it, I get a frozen window ... but cannot get the info out of the window. thus, I copied the whole unit of text and copied that into a Word doc - hoping to see the text in a little footnote, but - no
I seem to remember some discussion on this topic before, but I would have thought that by now there would be some solution [If there is , it is a mystery to me right now.]

That is unusual. Most footnotes allow you to select and copy from them when you've got them up in the "frozen" window state. But I'm getting the same result in this case.
But you can open the Information window (Tools > Information), select the footnote text, and click Copy:
(Amusing that it thinks the name Hooker needs to be defined and provides a definition for the boating term.)
Logos, if you're listening, you need to fix this so that all footnotes can be copied from.

Thanks - that works just fine. I will have to remember this for future reference (excuse the pun)
