Barnes Notes - a plea to Logos

Some of us have been watching Barnes Notes creep up and occasionally leap forward on Community Pricing (many of you for even longer than I). It now seems to be somewhere around 85-90%. Hence nearly paid for.
So I'd like to make a plea to Logos - please would you now go ahead and publish it?
Many titles gain additional orders once they reach 100% anyway, and it looks like you're not that far short and could expect to recoup the little you are short with a few Pre-pub and Post-pub orders in any case! And I am sure there are titles you publish in the expectation of recouping the investment without it being fully paid for with advance orders anyway.

I'm convinced that Barnes is a running CP joke in the Logos office [:)]

This is one I don't want, but I would think that Logos would be better off having this set. It probably would be a good addition to some of the lower level libraries.
While the folks at Bellingham are in a Christmas spirit I would second the idea of announcing that it is at 100%, let as many as are interested buy in at a decent pre-pub price to cover the rest of the cost, knock it out, and get this one behind us.
In the near term it might cost Logos something, but in the long run it would probably pay off well.

I'm one who wants it and has been on board since it first appeared... but the rules are clear and fair, and it's us who haven't risen to them. I don't think Logos should be asked to make exceptions or carry a guilt trip on this. Patience for a little longer... think how much better it is now than at Christmas 2009.

I can't believe more people haven't jumped on this for barely over $2 a book! OT and NT too, much harder to find... plus the price always drops once the minimum set of orders is achieved and everyone knows it's ready to go into prepub!
Come on everyone, jump on now let's get this going! Give up the Grande-skinny-Chai-Latte-Frappe for a week and buy Barnes!!!! [<:o)]

I just placed my bid for $90 and it said "your bid will likely succeed." I put $90 to help Barnes get a boost, but I know I will get it for $30 if that's the final price. Maybe some of you may jump your bid to $90 so we can all see it drop to, maybe, even $25 or $20. Don't worry, once the final price is set you will only pay that price...that's what Logos says:
Place Your Bid!
Click on the highest price you'd pay. If the final price is lower, that's what you'll pay.
There you have it, so fear not my little children...up your bid a little bit so we can get this one out of the way by the end of the month.
Blessings!

I don't think placing a bid for $90 instead of the current most likely price of $30 will make any difference in how quickly it goes over the top. The number of people willing to pay $30 or more is the key, not how much they are willing to pay. None of them will be charged more than $30, so Logos only counts $30 x that number in figuring out if there would be enough orders at $30 to cover expenses.
However, if you bid less than $30, you need to up your bid to $30 or you will not get this once it goes over the top. Only those people who bid at least $30 will get it. If all the people who bid less than $30 raise their bids to $30, it will probably go over the top today. And then there's even a chance it might go lower (that often happens when more people join the bandwagon in the last possible week to bid before the CP price window closes), but you can't guarantee it, so you'll miss out if you don't up your bid now!

Raising your bid from $30 to $90 doesn't make it go faster at $30.

I don't know, I figured me bidding $90 is like having me and 2 others placing a bid...but thinking about it I guess you're right since Logos is not really going to take my $90. So I just dropped it to $30 again.[Y]

If those that are at $25 would move up to $30 that would do it.

Barnes is finally there at $30! Bidding closes 1/14. If more people come in we can get it for less than $30. [:D]

Well, it's a seriously large resource. I'm hoping that we'll have it before Christmas this year. [:D]
