It appears to come under the category of 'My Logos Messages' beyond that I have not idea and would also be interested to know more.

I have it on my homepage also, but when I opened L4 for the 2nd or 3rd time today, I also got a "message alert" with this same information in a small window in bottom right hand corner, just like when I open L3 and get a PrePub alert window.

I do not have it on my home page, but did receive the pop up. Very interesting!

Is it related to the weather alerts we had in Western Washington yesterday? [I'm being silly, of course.]
I'm curious about the "This message was not sent from my iPhone." I'm fairly certain that this is one of those totally random test texts that squeaked by the programmers before the feature went live. Unless Logos is making a deal with AT&T (the only company licensed for the iPhone in the U.S.).

This is just a test of the messaging alert system. Unlike the blog feed, the messaging system allows us to target messages to specific users. So we'll be able to use this in the future with more precision than the old LDLS 3 alerts, sending a message only to people who had purchased a specific book, for example.

Hmm. What about folks like me, who don't use the homepage? Can I sign up for email notifications instead? Or is there an expectation that I should check the homepage regularly for information like this?

Good question, I have been using the home page because it is a beta test but have had more than enough of it because it radiates everything I dislike about how this software works, and think I will stop using it from this point on and most certainly won't be using it in post release version.

Here is what I get in down right corner:
You don't need any email notifications to get this information.

I don't see anything like this. The lower right corner in which view? Maybe it's gone because I already opened the home page.
