Crash BEFORE installing Beta 9
I saw Beta 9 was available in the Forums, so I opened Logos 4 and... CRASH.
It worked the 2nd time.

Exact same thing happened to me.
I opened up Logos8a and once the homepage came up (but no content, just the spinny loady thingy) it crashed.

I hadn't seen the forum. Opened L4 and it crashed and sent a report to Microsoft.
While it was doing that I got the message it was downloading so closed the program.
When downloading finished I opened the program and it crashed before I got to the full home page. No report to Microsoft.
Then I got the message downloading a small update. Finished and asked me to restart. Did.
Crashed on re-opening. While waiting to see if message to Microsoft (didn't) got message it was indexing.
Re-started. Got to spinning thing on home page and crash. Logs attached.

Update:
Melissa said elsewhere to hold down Crtl key while opening L4 - forces a login screen - and click blank screen on opening. That worked!!

This crash is the same one discussed here: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/2819/21270.aspx#21270
As mentioned by other posters, you can avoid it by holding CTRL and choosing to load a blank layout.
