Part 3: PerformanceComing Soon
This is my first attempt at doing a video review, so I hope it isn't too painful to watch.
Thank you for taking the time to put these videos up . . . I'm in that "pondering mode" about how to have my L4 portable. Looking hard at a highly portable laptop but the new tablets which will actually run applications, not simply apps, are most promising!

Thanks for taking the time!! Looking forward to the others. [Y]
Your video's look fine but the HP Slate looks painfully slow!!
It is admittedly a little slow. But most of the blame goes to Logos 4. Even on my 3.4GHz desktop, Logos 4 is a dog, performance wise. For example, I just timed typing in "net" on my desktop at 12 seconds to get the menu and 13 seconds on the slate.
This is one of those things that I think may be evolving in computing. When the iPad was first announced I was bummed that it was just a big phone even though I am a big OS X and iPhone user. Having used it alot though I see why they did it. Our interactivity seems to change as devices get smaller. Portable devices being more of a matter of convenience vs. dedicated work environment is part of the reason. When I pull up my iPhone I am not going to wait a long time to get where I am going because I am likely on the go. Same thing with the iPad. I have been in church with both my iPad and a previous generation Windows 7 tablet and I find the latter to be unpleasant to use because of the speed. It is funny because I kind of gripe about some of the feature-lite nature of the Logos iOS APP but am more and more seeing that for the majority that type of mobile experience comes with a very different set of usability expectations which the "APP" model fits better. That surely is not going to be the same for all users but I do see others commenting the same way.
Thanks for posting these, I have been very curious about how this combo would work.
Unfortunately the forum won't let me edit the original post. Here's part 2: Scrolling.

Logos4 has several bugs in this department unfortunately. I spend a lot of time demonstrating the bugs and how to work around them.
