The 3g for the iPad comes bundled with other services for which you pay a monthly fee?
Chris, I haven't understood this one,I haven't got from apple store, I have it from a mobile agent ,which has to do with them internally.I have to pay, fixed price for the ipad ,and there is with it also telephone flat rate from the provider ,which is selling , since I have telephone(mobile) already, they gave two options either mobile telephone or SMS, I chose SMS, So that means What I have to pay monthly is fixed price. But I don't know as I haven't understood you, if there is something I have to pay apart of my provider, since I don't know what ipad needs. software, program etc.I haven't understood what you have said ,that comes with it. except the SMS from the provider ,which is absolutely inclusive with monthly price. Is there any software or other means ,which makes me dependent to use the ipad for Logos 4?
Blessings in Christ.

This is what I mean - you are buying the iPad from someone already providing you services, and 3g service for your new iPad will come as part of the services you already receive from them. So, no, you shouldn't have to pay anything extra.

The iPad itself doesn't need antivirus software and, as far as I am aware, no one sells any antivirus software for it anyway.

Tes,
It is well worth it to get the iPad. You will be able to read over a thousand of your books, but not all yet. No NIV, for example. Logos is constantly adding more resources, and many of the best are on iPad. They are putting all the publishers will allow on iPad.
No, you can't run the full Logos 4 program. But for reading your books, it is fantastic - better than paper in my opinion. A thousand times better for extended reading than a computer.
I was not disappointed. I got the Apple iPad 32GB, and have downloaded over 1,000 books. I have plenty of room left, even with everything else I wanted to run - audiobooks, music, a few movies, etc. You will have plenty of room with your iPad 64GB. For me, the 32GB is more than big enough. I could easily put 2000 Logos books on it - based on what the first thousand used.

I have many gigs on iTunes. Can I use itunes on ipad without filling up my iPad with lots of stuff I want to keep on computer but not to clutter my iPad with it?

Don't have an iPad, do have an iPod. I can specify what syncs to it from iTunes and what doesn't. If your iPad fills up I'm certain you could pare down what media files sync to it.

Thanks, Kevin. With my poor eyesight I suspect the iPod screen would be too small. I'll ask when I go to play with an iPad

You pick what you sync. Want a movie? Put it on. Want a new movie but not enough space? Remove the first one and put the second on. Want half your music library? There are several ways to choose which music you sync on it. Etc etc. iTunes will give you quite a bit of control (pretty much complete control) over what from your iTunes library syncs to your iPad.

Thanks, Chris. That's very helpful. So a 32 GB iPad, should be plenty!

- If there is flat rate internet ,is it necessary to download the books?
- Is it possible to download the books directly ,if the ipad has internet?
- If the ipad has its own internet connection, is it necessary to connect it to computer,by wire less?
Blessings in Christ.

1. If there is flat rate internet ,is it necessary to download the books?
No - as long as iPad can connect in all places for use - can use cloud based resources.
Tes said:2. Is it possible to download the books directly ,if the ipad has internet?
Yes - for Logos app, currently have to use internet connection to access Logos library, including resource download - cannot copy Logos resources from computer to iPad.
Tes said:3. If the ipad has its own internet connection, is it necessary to connect it to computer,by wire less?
Initial iPad setup needs a wired USB connection to a computer with iTunes. After initial setup, have option to connect USB wire - good idea to connect periodically for backup. For charging iPad, do need to use cable - connected to computer's USB port or iPad's power adapter.
Keep Smiling [:)]

Tes, I'm so glad you've got your iPad - enjoy it! And update us about how you get on with it. It looks as if I shall have funds to get an iPad when in England next month, so I have an ulterior motive [;)] , beside genuine goodwill [:D] , for wanting to hear about it!
