Currently I'm reading JETS (from Theological Journal Library), and I find these (and other journals) quite unresponsive compared to other books in Logos.
Examples:
- Where other resources open almost instantly, it takes 18 seconds to open this resource -- longer than it takes to load Logos itself! Then when the text finally fills this window, it is still unresponsive for several more seconds. If I click on the window during that time, the Title Bar reports " (not responding)", and a smaller black window appears over the top of the text (where you would expect the circle to appear) for a couple more seconds.
- Applying a highlight takes 13 seconds before I can do anything else in that window. After several seconds, the busy cursor appears (spinning circle). If I click on the window, the text dims. Scolling is unavailable. It's just locked until the copious pause is over, making highlighting while reading practically useless. (In other resources, control returns after highlighting in less than a second.)
- Even resizing the window takes seconds.
What I've alredy tried:
- In case it had to do with synching, I tried turning off the Use Internet setting and restarted Logos, but that made no difference.
- Under the tab's Filter, Link to Other Panels is deselected.
- Merge Index didn't help.
