Note File Edit Problem
I cannot edit the title of a note file if it has Scripture in it. In the example below I have no problem with History of St.Paul but cannot edit 2 Timothy 4:19. I have several Scripture titles and cannot edit any of them. I have tried this in a couple of note files and get the same result.
I am simply selecting the passage and then selecting add a note file to "file name". It inserts perfectly but I cannot add anything (edit) to it after that.

Hi Ed,
The "2 Timothy 4:19" text in the top section of the first note appears to have been added from the Bible, from the context menu. The "History, The Life of St. Paul, p. 163" text in the top section of the other note appears to have been manually typed. Since the first note is a quotation, it doesn't change to a text box to allow editing. I can see that it would be helpful to format that text, though. I can submit a request.
Update: The preview for text range attached notes comes directly from the resource and cannot be edited or formatted. This is by design.

Melissa can you explain why Logos chose not to allowing editing of this type of note? I was on vacation this week and found myself constantly wanting to add some type of indicator to the verse. I am studying through 2 Timothy now and I like being able to put the verses up as the headings but want to label them in some fashion. It seems since these are headings it would make more sense if you could get the heading so that it communicates to the creator of the notes.

Melissa, couldn't this be said about the first box? It's purpose is to quickly identify the information that would be found in the second box. It just seems strange you have freedom to enter whatever you want unless there is a verse in the box and these are MY notes.

I second Ed's comments. It is akin, but only slightly I suppose, the issue I'm having with making notes to a non-biblically index resource. See: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/2861/21499.aspx#21499 There I get the wrong heading out of the resource, but can't edit it. Even if I got the right heading I might well want to edit it.
If you look into my filing cabinets, I doubt you'd be able to find the "organizating structure" in most of them. It certainly isn't always alphabetic and it certainly works for me. Similarly, I doubt I could find my way around your file cabinet or hard drive -- because we all categorize things differently. I want to be able to find the notes.
Is there a fundamental reason why the note title (first box) can't be editable? If there is, we'll have to live with it, but if not, I'd ask that we be allowed that ability.
