aion or kosmos

I ran into this tonight and maybe you good folks could explain this for (to) me if you will. Type in your search "god of this world" and then hover your mouse over the word *world* --- it will bring up the Gk word *kosmos* in my far right pane. Now if you look in the Interlinear, you will see (or at least I do) the Gk word *aion* --------

Is this an error, or is there something here that I probably am missing or misunderstanding. I'm taking it, that since the Gk word is *aion* in the Interlinear, should it not show up the same when we hover our mouse over the English word "world"?

I'll appreciate your insights. Thanks!

Thank you Mr Smith for your reply. I'm more than new to this program, so hopefully I'm understanding your question correctly. I looked this up in the KJV and all I can tell you is, there is an Interlinear underneath of the verse that comes up, I'll call it in the middle pane. The Interlinear I have up here (I'm not sure how I can name it as yet) but it's when I hover the mouse over the word "World" - it brings up a pane to the far right and gives me the word "Kosmos" - if I click on either one of the names under this Interlinear, i.e. DBL Greek, it brings up the word *aion* of course. Also, in the Interlinear itself, the Gk word is *aion.*

Sorry for my ignorance of this program still - but maybe you can fathom out something that I'm trying to say here and shed some light on the seeming error.

I am guessing when you hover over the word, the information tool is giving you the dictionary definition. Further down it should give you the correct Greek word "aion" if your settings are on in your information tool. This is not really a mistake or a bug.

Jerry, you are closer to the truth than not. I'm thinking that when I hover the mouse over the word, in this case *world* - it's going to give me the specific meaning for that word. Is there something in the settings that one can bring up the specific meaning of that particular Gk word?

Also, is Mr Smith asking if I'm using the Reverse Interlinear or Interlinear - and is the Resource referring to which Bible version I'm using ...

I believe the Mr is incorrect for MJ Smith. If you click where it says settings on your information tool and then select the first one, which is definition and then click the check mark so that it disappears then you will not see the dictionary definition. It should show the Greek article first and then the correct Greek word.
