Proxy Settings Stuck
I've had a weird problem. I use a proxy at work, but not at home. On one of my computers, I could set one of my proxies or change to the other...but I couldn't remove them. It seems that proxy settings are only fully changed if you mange to connect the first time.
Each time I tried to delete the proxy for a direct connection, the text would go away, but it would fail immedately on login, and the logs would show that the proxy was timing out. When the login screen came back, the proxy settings would be back. After weeks of only being online within the proxy...I went to the registry and reset the settings, which worked.
I don't have the logs to show you...but I humbly request an enable/disable proxy button (like IE), so that I don't have to actually erase the entire proxy string every time I'm on a direct connection and retype it at work, and maybe if my problem is more widespread, this will help others.

I'm in a similar situation, Matt. What I do when I arrive at work is to check the IE box for the proxy, and then start Logos:
Logos 4 follows that, without needing to explicitly set the proxy settings in Logos itself (unlike, say, Firefox where you do have to set the program's proxy settings.)
I use a desktop shortcut to the Internet Options in the Control Panel, so it's quite quick to change.There probably is a quicker way with a reg file or something.

No, Logos doesn't seem to be connected to my IE settings...i really wish it were. When I get to the office, I turn on the checkbox in IE. Maybe the problem is that I can't use "automatically detect" on this network..and yours does work that way (see image).
On both computers, the only way that Logos will sign on to my authenticating proxy is if I type the address (and UN/PW) into the box...and the only way to make it sign on while off proxy is to delete them from the 3 boxes.
I've been a network Admin, I wouldn't have posted if I didn't think something weird was going on. How hard could it be to add a checkbox to the next beta instead of the arrows?

This bug has been fixed in 4.2a Beta 7.

I am not always behind a proxy and now that I have put the proxy settings in I will not be able to get online since the proxy settings remain. Is it possible to download the 4.2a Beta 7.

If you have the latest 4.2a SR-3 version then you have the fix (Beta 7 was an earlier version, produced during beta testing).
