When I try to reply to a post using chrome, the page locks up after typing a few characters. It does not happen for new posts, only replies when I use the quote feature.
Is anyone else seeing this or is it just me?

Clinton

Using Chrome now... no issues.
Yes, I've been having this problem.

Odd. I've never had a problem with Chrome under windows and I'm not having a problem at all now with the Chrome OS. Perhaps it's linked to a particular extension you're using?
Just an FYI if others had/are still having this problem.
I am now running chrome 10.0.648.11 dev and am no longer having the page lock up.
I have definitely had this problem, and I'm running chrome 8.xxx.
Using explorer right now and it hums.
I saw an issue with this in one of the dev versions of Chrome, but that was a couple of minor releases ago. Current dev Chrome build seems to be fine at least on Windows.
Oh, many people didn't even mentioned about the sandbox feature which is an inherent part of the web browser. This feature is set-up to run every time you load Chrome. It is enabled. Internal issues with this feature finally result in Google Chrome crash situation. This problem can be fixed after disabling the sandbox feature. Here are the common tips and trips through which you can disable sandbox feature.
1. Right click Chrome shortcut.
2. Select Properties.
3. Click the Target tab.
4. Add the following line in the Shortcut textbox:
"--no-sandbox"
5. Click Apply | OK.
