Many times I jump to a certain reference and want to go back again. However, it seems there is no go back button. I have to type the reference again. Hopefully I am wrong.
You are!! There should be two little horizontal arrows somewhere in the top right of the Bible panel - clicking on the one pointing to the left should take you back to previous references.

Patrick, you may want to open another copy of your resource and have links directed there by using Send Hyperlinks here . This will save you time and let you still see your original place in your resource.
You can also look at your history.
Tools > History
Or Ctrl+H.
Yes, the back and forward buttons exist, but the extremely important back history and forward history buttons do not...an oversight about which I have complained on many occasions. Specifically, I am referring to these drop-down menus that list up to ten previous forward and back page views.
Seeing as I use these buttons constantly, all day every day, their absence is just one more of many reasons why I feel L4 is inferior to L3. And since I first mentioned the absence of these buttons about a year ago (if memory serves), I can only surmise that Logos has deliberately decided not to include them for some bizarre and incomprehensible reason. It's sort of like forgeting and then refusing to include brakes on an automobile.
And just to cut off the pending "use the history" comments...it's not remotely the same thing, and it doesn't do the same job. It's a little like saying, "What do you need brakes for? Just use your feet." Well, pardon me for not being thrilled with the Flintstones alternative to a common and fundamental bread-and-butter feature, but I just feel like I shouldn't be expected to forgo the basics in order to enjoy the less often used whiz-bang features that L4 is good at handling.

I know you're not going to like this, but the way to get all three of those addressed in one fell swoop is to put your request on UserVoice and try to get lots of other people to vote for it.
Wow, for some reason I missed that completely. I think I confused it with the arrow buttons (I prefer keyboard shortcuts above mouse movements). So using ctrl-h would help me a lot. THanks for the answers again.
I use those a lot in Safari, so I could certainly use them in Logos as well! [Y] (So far, though, I've been more annoyed with the fact that there are no arrows at all in places where I would like them. (Can't think of an example right now).)

One place I can think of where I'm always wishing there were back buttons is the Collections tab. I'll open a different collection and want to get back to the previous one. Happens quite often.
That is definitely one! Also the Library, when I'm using long search criteria. When I'm working on my collections I tend to go back and forth in both of those, searching and twisting and tagging.

Ditto. I've also taken to copying and pasting the Library filter string into a temporary location somewhere (usually a new email message) so I can retrieve it later.
And I keep around a dummy collection to have an extra sandbox to play around in.

Haven't gone quite that far yet. [:)] I just copy it for later use -- which, of course, only works until I need cmd-c for something else... Guess I could add a one note notefile to my Collection Work layout for temporary storage of search strings. Might be useful.

I've been bitten enough times by holding something large (e.g., an entire post I was working on for an online forum) for temporary use in the invisible clipboard and then accidentally wiping it out by copying something else over it, that I've learned to paste to a safe location for later use.
(I prefer keyboard shortcuts above mouse movements). So using ctrl-h would help me a lot.
Alt <Left Arrow> take you back to previous location in a resource
Alt <Right Arrow> take you forward to next location in a resource
These are keyboard shortcuts for the Back & Forward arrows.
