Logos website and Chrome

Yeah, 10 is the dev channel. Logos.com functions fine in other browsers so it's not router/firewall/internet issues, which is what I first thought it was. So I'm not sure. I will change to the developers channel if you think that would work, but first I would love to hear if anyone else on the beta channel is having problems. Although, it should work if it is working on the higher Dev channel.

I did try this at home last night with a Chrome 8.x version and it worked fine. Can't say for sure if the 9.x version has issues, but I don't recall seeing any when the dev version was at 9.x versions.

I am running the beta of Chrome, the update version of 2/2/11 that you listed above, and I'm having no problem with the Logos website. I'm actually posting this in the forum with Chrome, something I used to have trouble doing.

I'm logging in from my Mac with no problem using Chrome (running the dev on the mac). Hmm. It's got to be something with my desktop and Chrome then. Odd.

Still wasn't loading this morning so I updated to the Dev Channel and the Logos site is working again. I also saw today that someone was having problems replying in forums with Chrome. I have had this happen to me. I use Chrome on Windows and Mac and have had problems on both. Mac has been Dev Channel for over a year now...maybe even two years. Windows has been stable channel till this week, then beta (which gave me major logos problems) and now Dev which seems to be working. Thanks for your help and suggestions. [:D]

I said this in the other thread, but I have intermittent problems with chrome on the Logos website. Up until these threads, I just thought it was the Logos website was just getting swamped or something. Now since I've been using explorer on the website it runs much, much better and I think it's a conflict with chrome.

Guess I have to add my name to the ones having Chrome problems. As of this morning I can no longer access either the Logos site or my account through Chrome on my XP desktop computer. It just sits there "Waiting for www.logos.com..." indefinitely. I've tried all the cleanup programs, deleting the caches, rebooting etc but nothing makes any difference. Yet I can still access the sites with Chrome on my laptop with Vista.

I tried everything with no success. While I was still able to access the forums, eventually I lost the sign-in cookie. From then on I could do nothing because to sign in you have to access the logos.com site. I tried uninstall and reinstall including deleting every Google Chrome file I could find, deleted all the pre-fetch file etc - still no joy. Tried the beta version - still no difference. At last I went to the developer channel and finally it works. There must be a problem somewhere on the site. It works OK until the link changes somehow and then you lose the ability to get it back.

Hmm. I use Chrome almost exclusively now and have had no problems with

Win 7 X64bit Chrome: 9.0.597.86 beta
CR-48 Chrome OS Beta Laptop at OS 0.10.156.4 devx86-mario / Chrome 10.0.648.12

Neither one has given me a hint of problem, including the last few versions on both.

Like Thomas I use Chrome virtually exclusively and have no problems on Win 7 (Chrome 9.0.597.84)

If I have followed this thread correctly, the Windows users reporting problems are on Windows Vista whereas those who are saying it is fine are on Windows 7.

Some people haven't specified so this may not be valid but just thought it worth suggesting as a possible factor.

My Chrome issues were on both Windows XP and I believe they also occurred on my Max OS X machine. As I mentioned I was using the Stable build on XP till recently and I have had NO problems on the XP machine since I updated to the Dev build of Chrome.

My Mac is using the Dev build of Chrome with no problems recently. Just thought I would reiterate that. It would seem there is some setting that is different.

Mine was an XP machine too. Again I had no problems with it until a few days ago. Once it's broke though it's game over - there doesn't seem to be any fix except to go to the dev build.

I'm having the same problem - since yesterday (2-7-11). but I'm not comfortable going to the dev channel. I need a stable browser. Logos Developers! Please check in to this! I don't want to have to run 2 browsers. [:D]

My chrome issues come and go. My machine is using windows 7. It just locks up in chrome. Only once in a while. Enough to make me use explorer when coming into logos forums or notice if I forget and come in using chrome.

FWIW: I have no problems accessing the Logos website in Chrome 9.9.597.98 on Windows 7 64-bit. This is on a fairly recently set up machine.

Others having problems, did you try uninstalling Chrome and reinstalling the latest stable version (not beta)?

Hi all.

I'm struggling with exactly the same thing. Google Chrome = no logos.com When I ping logos.com it times out.

But, wiki.logos.com works 100%. I have Chrome 9.0.597.98 on Windows 7, 32-bit. Something is not working nice. From South Africa I am experiencing the same thing from my PC at my office.

I have quickly connected to my home pc with remote desktop: Win 7 64-bit with exactly the same version of chrome: 9.0.597.98 and funny enough, it WORKS 100%.

I have re-started, re-booted, disabled all extensions without any success. Is there anything else we can try?

I have given up.

Did a clean install on my wife's Laptop, Win 7 Prof 64-Bit of latest version of Google Chrome. And it worked.

I honestly don't know what to try anymore. I have tried on another PC with XP and with Chrome the Logos website works. I'm busy with a complete uninstall/delete/removing of Chrome on my machine.

I will keep you posted.

Any other suggestions will be very welcome.

Hi Thomas and thank you for the suggestion. I have checked that also. I have uninstalled Chrome, deleted all Chrome folders, restarted and did clean installations of Chrome without any plug-ins. No success.

I have posted this problem on Chrome's support forum and trust they will be able to help us out. You can read my post here and even add something if you can.

Did you read the whole thread? Several of us changed to the Dev Channel. It's the only solution that I know of. I don't think Logos is interested in looking into it until enough users have the problem as they surely will over time. It doesn't seem to happen until something changes the program in your computer and then it becomes unfixable.
