Search Question

Is there some reference for how to construct search queries? I want to do a search that returns all Psalms that are between 10 and 15 verses in length, but I don't know where to begin with a query for such a thing. I've looked all over google and come up with nothing.

I don't think there's a way to construct this kind of query in Logos. The search engine is word based.

Psalm BEFORE 2 WORDS Ps AND ((Ps BEFORE 2 WORDS "1-10") OR (Ps BEFORE 2 WORDS "1-11") OR (Ps BEFORE 2 WORDS "1-12") OR (Ps BEFORE 2 WORDS "1-13") OR (Ps BEFORE 2 WORDS "1-14") OR (Ps BEFORE 2 WORDS "1-15"))

finds Psalms with 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, or 15 verses.

Searching entire Library finds Psalms in 4 resources, only JFB useful in my library for finding Psalms with # of verses (with this search).

Also noticed 1 buggy search result in JFB - Psalm 40 has 17 verses - not match any comma separated list values:

Actually it does match. There is a match further down in the section. The dash (and all special characters) act as spaces in the search, probably as designed:

If you change the search pattern to:

Psalm BEFORE 2 WORDS Ps BEFORE 2 WORDS ("1-10","1-11","1-12","1-13","1-14","1-15")

you can eliminate the extraneous hits.

Edit: more learning - special characters are white space for word searching. Search pattern:

Psalm BEFORE 2 WORDS Ps BEFORE 2 WORDS ("1 10","1 11","1 12","1 13","1 14","1 15")

finds same results in JFB (45 Psalms with 10 to 15 verses).
