Can someone tell how I can search by strongs number? In previous versions of Logos this was accomplished using Englishmans concordance. Thanks.
Hi Paul - and welcome to the forums
There are a number of ways of doing this.
If you know the Strongs number you want you can use it in the search tool:
If you want to find other occurrences of a word you are looking at you can use the right-click context menu:
This will produce the same results but in a basic search as opposed to a Bible search
For more information on this and other powerful search methods please see http://wiki.logos.com/Basic_Search and http://wiki.logos.com/Detailed_Search_Help
Graham
After you search for the Strongs # as Graham showed, if you use the Aligned view you will get a result very similar to the Englishman's Concordance.
We need a page on the wiki for how to create an "Englishman's Concordance" since people ask that question a lot.

Thanks, Kevin. That's great. Oughtn't we to be training people to get away from their dependence on Strong's numbers though, and thus put the right-click / lemma method first and the numbers method as a secondary alternative?
You've got a point.
But, anyone who asks about an Englishman's concordance is probably still going to be in Strong's # land. So, as a matter of expedience I put the Strong's answer first. That and there are a number of different ways to get the lemma from the right click menu to a search and I wasn't certain which would be the least intimidating way for those used to the number system.
If you want to edit the page, feel free. I can give this some more thought tomorrow after church too.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I'll leave it the way it is.
