Slow typing response in Logos 4 notes

Has anyone found a solution to the slow typing response in Logos 4 notes? My system has a Intel dual core processor P8700 @ 2.53GHz, and a GeForce GTX260M CUDA 1GB video card with 6GB DDR3 memory with total virtual memory of 12GB hard disk running @7200running Windows 7 Home Premium with a overall performance rating of 5.8 on a scale of 1.0 to 7.9. So I don't think it is a PC problem. This problem is really slowing down my work with this Great Software. I don't know maybe most do not use the notes feature much, but I like to use it a LOT as I can keep all of my work in one place. Hope someone can help....
Thanks and God Bless,
Dennis

One thing that speeds it up is turning "Use Internet" to "no" in Program Settings. That will keep Logos from attempting to sync after virtually every keystroke. But you'll need to remember to turn it back on again so that your notes can sync and be backed up and be available on your other machine(s) (if you have any).

Thanks Rosie!
I will sure try it. Yes I have a desktop, laptop and iPod that I use with Logos 4. I will post if this solves the problem.
Thanks a bunch [:D]

I responded to your post in the other thread, but I'll make the same suggestion here. Check out the wiki on this topic. Here's the URL for that: http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_Running_Slowly
(Note: I don't personally recommend changing the pagefile in Windows, unless you know what you're doing. Setting it up incorrectly can significantly degrade Window's performance.)
Help links: WIKI; Logos 6 FAQ. (Phil. 2:14, NIV)

Much thanks, Rosie and Richard,
I followed your advice and Logos 4 slow typing issue is resolved! I first read the Wiki link and followed all directions except the page-file changes. I noticed an improvement right away. The problem was not as bad, much better but still a little sluggish. Then I turned off the Internet mode and rebooted. Bingo! the typing speed is back to normal! I will just have to remember to turn it back on and reboot then shut down the program after rebooting to it will be synced with my other machines.
Thanks and God Bless,
Dennis

As Rosie said, using the internet slows down L4 tremendously. Here is a thread that posted my results on searching the word "the" (page 4): http://community.logos.com/forums/t/5778.aspx. When I had the setting for the internet turned on, the search took 3.81 & 71.86 seconds. When I turned off the internet, the same search took 1.45 & 25.51 seconds.

Wow! that is BIG difference. I'll go over and check out your link.
Thanks! [Y]

BTW is there a way to run L4 on my iPod Touch with the Internet turned off?

You can read books that you have downloaded but for everything else (searches, guides etc.) you need an internet connection as those things are run in the cloud.

My L4 is always syncing. I have left my L4 up for 72 hours straight, and it was still syncing. I also have more "My content" than anyone else that posted in the thread.

Also my thanks. Turning off the internet connection resolved the slow notes issue.

I have the same problem- slow typing in notes and elswhere in Logos, and turning off Internet syncing did not help. However, I did find in the Help info that you can do a manual sync- just type "sync now" in the command box.

I haven't really experienced this slow typing in notes before -- just exceptionally slow scrolling -- but now I'm beginning to, so I guess I've reached the pain-threshold. If anyone is interested I've now got 17 note files. The probably largest one has got about 42, mostly very short, notes, but most are much shorter. Not much at all in other words, but still, seemingly, too much for Logos to handle. (I would have had 50 times as many by now, if it didn't take one hour to do what should take 5 minutes.)
I hope everyone who is annoyed with notes have given 3 votes to http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4/suggestions/1619077-rework-notes-function-in-one-or-multiple-phases?ref=title.

I found out just the opposite. When I turned off the internet the search took longer than with the internet on. Why is that?
