On my iPhone they all stay open. Currently have 5 books on the ribbon visible when you tap at the bottom of the page (when reading).

Yeah, how to close the books?

OH....the book is technically closed. But how to remove it from the ribbon is a good question. I'm not sure about this one.

I think the only way to remove it is to replace it by opening something else. Isn't there a limited number of books that can fit there?
Curious why everyone wants to do this? I kind of like having the most used books there.

You can really only have one book open at a time, but the app keeps track of the last 25 viewed books. You can think of the list as recently viewed books instead of open books.

Actually, have two books open. I'm not sure how, but I really only want one book open as it is spitting my iPad screen. Does anyone have any information or suggestions?

Sue, where the divider is between the two books, on the right side of your screen is a grey semi circle.
Place your finger on that and drag it to the bottom of the page, now your second book is closed, or drag it to the top to close the top book.
