RC1 Memory Usage for Indexing

I am now reindexing after multiple downloads of resources last night and this morning. I have a quad core processor with 8 gig of memory in my machine and I thought Bradley said that if we had over 4 gig of memory that the indexer would make use of it. Right now my memory usage has not gone over 2.5 total memory usage for everything. The 4 cores are working at between 80 to 95 percent usage. Any thoughts?

The indexer will use more memory on a system with 4GB or more, but it won't use it all. (In fact, since it's still a 32-bit process, it would be difficult for the Indexer to use more than 2GB, and it (very simplified description) already has to share that with the .NET Framework and other system components.) Even though the Indexer might not be directly using that memory, having it installed will still help, as the OS can use it to cache files loaded from the disk, etc.

Right now, it sounds as though it's working as designed.
