RC1: Reproducible crash on exit

Description

Crash on exit with large pop-up open

Repro

  1. Open Logos 4 RC1
  2. Click on Home icon
  3. Hover mouse over any place in the home page that will cause a large pop-up window to come up (e.g., one of the "More" links on the blog)
  4. While the pop-up is still up, press Alt+F4 to exit the program.

Actual Result

Crash ("Logos Bible Software 4 has stopped working") and my AVG firewall comes up asking permission for "Microsoft .NET Error Reporting Shim" to establish TCP connection.

Expected Result

No crash, obviously.

System Specs (if using multiple computers or not in your signature)

  • Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit, SP1
  • Custom built desktop PC with ASUS P5Q motherboard, Intel quad core, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT with 512MB

Extremely reproducible -- happens every time. This appears to happen whenever one of those large pop-ups is open, regardless of where it came from. Here's another example:

  1. Open Bible Explorer
  2. Type some bible verse (I used John 1:6) into Reference box on Bible Explorer
  3. Hover mouse over any of the items that comes up in results list until pop-up comes up
  4. While pop-up is still up, press Alt+F4 to exit the program.
    !! Crash!

Note: this does not happen with small pop-ups (e.g., cross-reference footnotes in the TNIV).
