Passage Lists - Now I understand..

Yesterday, I couldnt see the point of the Passage Lists when you could just do a search.

Now I understand why you were wanting passage lists, as the Light of understanding came on when I found the "Insert Heading" command.. and that you could rearrange the passages as you wished..

Another use for Passage Lists is keeping a list of verses you're working on to memorize (or have memorized and want to review every once in a while).

Passage Lists have some other interesting and powerful uses too, when combined with other features:

For any curious soul reading this tread and scratching their head. You get the heading by right clicking on the verse(s) in the passage list.

You can also use passage lists to make a topical bible. Create a folder in favorites called "topical". In that folder create a folder for each letter of the alphabet. As you study a topic create a passage list for it and add it to the correct alphabetical folder. If you want to add resource articles to the topic create a folder for the topic and put your passage list in the folder. Then simply add the articles to the folder.

Passage lists don't have to just be the result of a search. I often build them manually (by right-clicking on a verse, and selecting "Add to Passage List) to create topical passage lists that an automatic search wouldn't be able to recreate.
