I am considering going to Camp Logos II. I was just wondering who has attended and whether it was worth the money? I attended Camp Logos I and enjoyed it very much.
I very recently attended Day 3 of Camp 1, which is a sort of subset of Camp 2, and found it worthwhile. I'd certainly be confident that you wouldn't find Camp 2 either taught you things you didn't need to know, nor things you'd already learned in Camp 1.

I recently attended Camp 2. I appreciate Morris - in part because he actually uses the program as a pastor would - like I do every day studying for messages. Camp 2 is completely different than Camp 1.
In Camp 2 you learn how to organize your library; you learn how Logos indexes books which is very important when it comes to organizing your library. I deleted all my collections and created new ones after Day 1 of Camp 2 and they are much more precise and helpful in searches. I expanded my knowledge of prioritizing resources; I learned how to create a collection(s) so that when I do a search on a passage that initial search gives me all references in my library to the verses in my passage; you learn quite a bit about how to do better more efficient original language studies; you learn more about some of the tools in terms of Biblical places; highlighting; favorites and so on.
Brother I could go on, but for me, I really enjoy the Camps (1 and 2) - they are kind of like a little pastor's retreat in terms of both the practical and spiritual value because I'm in the program - I'm also in the Word and learning my library that helps me learn the Word.
The one negative on Camp 2 and this is from my perspective only and being critical: I'm getting pretty proficient in Logos because I look up videos etc as I study. As a result I felt like Day 1 of the Camp 2 which primarily focuses on organizing your library and how that then drives the efficiency of the rest of your studying could have been done in a shorter time - but make this critique balancing against my respect for Morris' judgment in how he does the camps.

Mark is an expert, I am not. We both attended the same 3rd day in London, and I gained tremendously from it. So, expert or not, you should gain from it. It's expensive, but I consider it a worthwhile investment, paying immediate dividends and continuing for the rest of my life. [:D]
Here's my question based on this discussion and never having attended a camp. Wouldn't it be possible to just go to a Camp II and forego Camp I to save time and money and that is, given one has been using Logos 4 for a year?

I have not been to Camp 2, but from reading some things on the Proctor website and having been to Camp 1, here is how I would answer:
If you are fairly proficient with Logos 4 - I don't mean expert - then you could skip Camp 1 and not be lost at all. I learned things at Camp 1, but much of it I had already figured out, learned from online videos such as Mark's and the ones on More Than Cake.
My bottom line: If you can only afford one camp, go to #2, assuming you are not a total newbie to Logos 4.
Others may have differing opinions and I would like to hear them. Also hoping a Camp 2 comes close to my area. Not yet, but maybe later this year.

Having been to both Camp 1 & 2 for Logos 4 and Camp 1 in Libronix I would agree with Jerry.
One of the issues with Logos is using your library...it's not sitting on a shelf for you to see. Camp 2 opens that up. If the person has a small library (below Biblical languages) one has to wonder how much study they do and whether Camp 2 has value. For those who use the program day-in-and-day out getting efficient is what it's about. Another issue is original languages - Logos is deficient up against Bible Works. On Day 2 of Camp 2 Morris drills a little deeper into original language study and it's a big help.
Also Morris has very knowledgeable helpers at the Camps so if you're bogged down you have instant help if Morris moves into unfamiliar territory. Also Morris moves slow, repeats, and has his teaching logos on a large screen - you just follow along.
You also get a syllabus that follows the Camp 2 curriculum very close.
For someone that needs Logos and doesn't have the time to watch all the videos, try all the stuff, push and right-click every button on every book, on every report think of it this way: $225 divided by 2. $112.5 per day. over 13 hours of instructions with breaks in just the right place. A little over $17 per hour. I pack my lunch, take a walk, and then get to work reviewing and applying what I just learned...I did that on breaks...Morris and his gang are there the whole time and you can drill them for even more info.

I would like to thank everyone for their comments. I am planning on going to the Camp Logos II on Thursday here in Tampa. I just wanted to get the thoughts of some who had attended the training.
