Is it possible to select some text in Logos 4 and print it with the colored highlighting and markups?
Yes it is. Currently on the PC version, the default is to print whatever markups are currently visible on your screen.
Here's a screen-shot to re-inforce Jacobs answer... I zoomed in to show that I stopped the selection in the middle of a word. Notice also that that word "stewards" is "highlighted" from search results.
On a related note, is it possible to print out text without the sympathetic highlighting?
Fred,
Yes, simply turn off any visual filters in the resource that you don't want to appear in your printed document.
Yes,
Whatever is displaying in your Resource pane should print. So, if you disable sympathetic highlighting in the visual filter menu, toggle off any highlighting palettes, and close any search windows you will be able to get a printout that is free of the extra markup.
EDIT: I see LaRosa beat me to it [:)]

Seems to work that way in the Mac version also.
