Suggestion 1: A command be added to the command bar to continuous check for new resources on the release day - a wait of 5 nanoseconds or so between checks would be acceptable.
Suggestion 2: Seriously, I understand that Logos has to process the credit card charges through a manual procedure. Might it be cost-effective to prebuild the records in a way that allows Logos to continue their process but also allow the customer to okay the transaction, running it through the normal online purchasing process? Logos could release the prebuilt records in mass when they actually release the publication.
