Questions about my new ipad
I am a pastor and long time logos user and have recently purchased a new i-pad. I would like to replace my laptop with the ipad to present verses and powerpoint notes on Sunday morning. I have already downloaded the free logos app but I need to know of other apps that would help me present Powerpoint on Sunday Morning. I have a Epson wireless projector that is about 2 years old.
What apps are available to transfer Powerpoint, Word Documents, and Pdf's to my ipad?
Other than a Wired Cord how do I use my ipad with my wireless projector?

I highly recommend Mobile Mouse http://www.mobilemouse.com/
Not too fond of its new powerpoint remote features but worth looking into.even if you don't use the new powerpoint features, everything else it offers is well worth it!
I use iBooks for PDFs Actually I set up a word template to fit the screen of my Ipod touch with the right paper size and font size. then I copy/paste my sermon notes into that template, email it to myself as a PDF and open it from my Touch's email app to iBooks (hold down on the attachement and it will give you a list of options) works great for me.
If you use OneNote Microsoft just put out a new app. It was "free for a limited time" when I download it a couple of days ago so you might want to grab it now just in case you want it in the future.
I use a free todo app called Errands for my prayer list right now. Only draw back is no backup feature.

To do basic presentations you will need an app that can display the content and you will need a hardware adapter that connects the iPad to a VGA port on the projector. The adapter is a cheap $29 part from Apple or Best Buy. The best app for presentations via the iPad is Keynote. It can read simple PowerPoint files. If youhave PDFs as you mentioned then you can display them with other apps. Search the app store for a program that can do that on an external display. Off the top of my head I can't remember what there is that will do this. But I know it exists. Another option is to export the slides of your PowerPoint file as JPG files and then just get them on the iPad somehow and display them as just images using the Photos app and the above mentioned adapter. To get the images on the iPad, upload them somewhere from the computer and download them via the iPad. Easiest way to do this is using a service called DropBox. The harder way but still doable is to sync them via iTunes in a special folder that iTunes will look for picture files under your computer's photo folder depending on what kind of OS you have. A third option is another hardware adapter called the iPad Camera Connection kit which has one adapter that lets you plug in an SD card and upload them to Photos. Here is my review of Keynote with a video demoing how I used it at church.

Here is an article I wrote about using DropBox to get stuff on the iPad

Hope this helps.

I would just love this app, as I am a great OneNote fan, however, it's only available in the US! [:'(]

Check out the 2Screens app in the App Store. The developer web site has a link to a YouTube video demonstrating the features. Looks impressive for the low price.
