Have I just lost my brain?
Can't answer the Hebrew for you. But I can assure you that a lost brain is an uncommon condition never seen in the case of an individual who could still distinguish between tsade's and ayin's
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Yes, the tsades should be `ayins. Where did you find this? BTW: Why is נֶפֶשׁ included here?

This is a copy from the Page 85 of "First Hebrew Primer" by EKS publishing. the Nefesh is included since it was in the picture with all the other words.
What is the best way to report this to Logos?

Highlight, right click, select "Report Typo" and put an `ayin in place of the tsade. Just do one then put a note in the comments section that it involves other instances of `ayin / tsade.

Instead of these tsade's being there....should they not be ayin's......
I just checked the print edition of this to find that you are correct. The 'ayin is present where it is supposed to be in all of these words. I guess that the copy machine didn't distinguish carefully enough.

Peace to you, William!
Well Done! Great sleuthing! That's not exactly what you did; for etymological sleuthing is actually tracking down the history of a word.
However, what you accomplished is good thinking and the next thing to sleuthing! And you most certainly are endowed with a good dose of "stick-to-it-tiveness"! *smile*
I made a big correcting note in my copy and am appreciative.
