Recommendation for good OT commentary
I am seeing that my library is in need of some beefing up in OT commentary.... i have Platinum now.
What are some good series that you would recommend. I realize this is subjective....Just looking for some feedback.

JPS Torah Commentary. Excellent stuff.

The pastors here will have the best recommendations for you, but I thought I would point out that the first part of the Mentor series is in Pre-Pub and going live tomorrow (Feb 28). I plan on buying it myself based on Alain Maashe's recommendation, my reading of sample pages, and reviews I found which I can post if there is interest. The Mentor series only covers part of the OT so far.

I'll second Mark's choices. I'd also consider College Press NIV OT. Some volumes are excellent, but not all. Hermenia OT seems to be good, but may be too technical. Also ICC OT. If I had money I'd own NICOT, ICC OT, Word BC ALL, and Hermenia OT. I could own Tyndale now, but I think I'm good with what I currently own.

I'm on Platinum too and there's plenty within it to do justice. Based on my print collection, you really should pick volumes rather than sets, but I'll throw a coin between NICOT and Word.
Any specific books you want commentaries for?

Easy choice:
1. JPS Tanakh/Torah Commentary
2. Hermeneia
3. Yale Anchor Bible Commentary
4. UBS Commentary

I agree with Mark. For a commentary that is less technical than NICOT or Word, you cannot beat Tyndale.
