Feeling Kind of Guilty

I'm feeling kind of guilty because I made a couple of assumptions that may not have been true but posted them here and was corrected. I just wanted to apologize to Logos and the forum community about saying things that maybe I should not have. If I was so concerned I should have probably directed them to Logos directly instead of the forums.

I guess this is one reason why I am glad to be a laborer and not a CEO or president (not that they do not labor themselves) of a company who has to make smart decisions that will provide the best results for the company when I know it might affect human emotions throughout.

Once again, I apologize and back to lurking. I am reporting my two questionable posts to Logos in case they want to delete them.

    Hey Rick,

I've appreciate your posts over the months. If the rule was that we had to retire back to lurking everything we got something slightly wrong, I think I've have about 3 posts to my name! So keep posting… [:)]

    Hi Mark, thank you [:)]

As you can tell by my post count, I am more of a lurker, so I really don't plan on stopping altogether, just back to my usual pace. I just want to be more diligent on my replies and remarks and make sure that I don't post unwisely without fact or knowledge, it kind of got me this time.

Once again, thank you for the reassurance.

Thank you for your post. I was touched by your apology even though I am unaware of the posts you mention. A humble spirit is always refreshing to see.

No worries, Rick. Thank you for your congenial attitude. I think it might be hard for Logos to delete posts of yours if others have responded to them and quoted bits of them. Anyway, they usually prefer not to be so draconian unless something really offensive was said. I don't think anything you've posted based on wrong assumptions could possibly be as bad as some of the hot water I've gotten myself into, and yet I'm still accepted here. I've appreciated your input.

No hard feelings Rick! I used to be worse than you but "I saw the light and [I was] baptized by the fire in HIS touch and the flame in HIS eyes.  I was born to love againnnnn....I'm a brand new man!" LOL...I don't like country music, but a friend of mine listens to it a lot, and that song in particular, so it kind of stuck on me.  I altered the lyrics just a bit.  Anyway, so don't worry man, alright, we all make mistakes.

Hi again everyone. Thank you for the encouraging replies. To fill in the blanks, I made some comments in a thread about discounts by calling a Logos sales representative vs. ordering directly off of the web. I was assuming a couple of things which I was wrong about and even though it was more opinion than harsh, I was less than charitable to Logos and love is my main priority in this life. It would be a self defeating purpose for me to repeat the substance of the comments here.

My main issue is that my assumptions were wrong and I feel bad about posting on a topic that I obviously did not have all of the facts.

    Blessings to all!

all i can do is kind of compassionately smile/chuckle.  Been there, done that.  Maybe even more present tense than I want to allow!  Thank you for your humility.  And i suspect time to move on.

Hi again everyone. Thank you for the encouraging replies. To fill in the blanks, I made some comments . .

I appreciate and admire your commitment to being charitable and loving, as well as your openness here.

I don't know if your avatar suggests you're a firefighter, or that you using that picture metaphorically somehow, but as a volunteer firefighter/chaplain/captain, I appreciate that too. My favorite firefighters to work with are those who are quick to admit their mistakes, but still don't hesitate to pick up the tools and go to work. (Metaphorically, same goes for life in the Church.)

As Christians love is our SOG* (Rom 13:10).

*SOG = Standard Operating Guideline. In the fire service all we do is governed by our SOG's (mostly having to do with safety and priorities).

Hi Richard, yes I too am a firefighter. My career job is a Lieutenant about 30 miles from where I live and volunteer in the city that I live in. Where I volunteer at is a combination department and I mostly respond to help during the daytime on weekdays because that is when most volunteers are away at work and cannot respond to help.

The avatar is a picture that a newspaper took of us going in on a worker.

Good to meet you Captain [:D]

    To fill in the blanks

I was somewhat puzzled until I read this post, now I understand what you mean. Your statement was not nearly as bad as those made intentionally by others in these forums, but I do appreciate the humble nature in which you have handled the situation. As Paul said, "Overlooking those thing which are behind…" It's now in the past.

Yes. The most egregious are the posts that point out our individual shortcomings. [:D]

Likewise share in apologizing to Logos forum community.
