After the Nth reboot. Stopped indexer with Taskmanager. Then after L4 finished opening to a blank layout, entered Rebuild Bible Index in the command box. The indexer started from scratch. After the Bible index finished it crashed.

There are different messages coming after indexing resources for the Bible Index - when writing postings. It could be a HDD error and it may be worth checking drive C:. Then try to reindex by deleting the BibleIndex folder in \Logos4.

Oh dear. This is a rare and difficult crash, unfortunately. Here are some other posts with the same error:

I'm really not sure what to suggest, sorry. I do wonder whether overheating might be causing the problem - perhaps you could do the best you can to ensure good airflow around your computer, and run disk monitoring software to keep an eye on the temperature of the drives. I recommend Active Hard Disk Monitor 1.5: http://download.cnet.com/Active-Hard-Disk-Monitor/3000-2086_4-11106032.html
Failing that, I think this is one for the Logos techs.
<edit>I cross posted with Dave. He's right - first steps would be to check the integrity of the drive, through a thorough disk check. Might be worth installing AHDM as well, in case that alerts you the drive is failing.
The reason we're both suggesting possible hardware issues is that the three crashes are all for three different reasons, which leads us to believe that your HDD is behaving erratically.</edit>

Yesterday before leaving town, i ran a CHKDSK on the hard-drive and it found no problems. Then started L4 which restarted the Indexing. Paused it and hibernated the laptop. When i got home last night i started the computer and it eventually completed the Indexing with no errors.
Thanks Dave & Mark!

Dave, tried this and as long as indexer does not restart I have not had a crash. The folder may not be "C", but it is the folder where you downloaded Logos to on your computer. Went through multiple folders till index folder located; for those looking. Don't know about reopening Logos 4--fear has my keyboard gripped in terror! HA HA.....Fred

I meant to run a disk check on drive C: eg. chkdsk C: /F (in a Cmd Prompt) or from the Explorer context menu for the drive.
