Selecting Bible section to search jump to section

When I am selecting a Bible to search, I can type in "dictionary" and see a list of dictionary titles or NASB and immediately the NASB Bible versions that I have are listed. This is very helpful for quickly selecting the resources you want to search.

It would be helpful if a similar capability was offered when selecting a Bible section to search. For example, if I type in "Rom" it should either jump to "Romans" in the list or reduce the list of ranges to just those with "Rom" in it. As it is, I find myself scrolling the list a lot to find the section I want to search.

I don't quite follow what you are saying about typing in "dictionary", etc, but you do know that you can do a bible or a morphological search limited to one book or to a select group of books (e.g., "Romans", gospels, pentateuch).

    Hi Harry!

I was pondering your post, so I thought I'd search on Romans in my Top Bibles for "condemnation."  Since I've not searched Romans before, I typed that in the "range" box to set that as my "range."

After that search, I searched with other parameters.  Then, I went back to seach on Romans again, and there -- in a list -- was "my" Romans.  I was pleased!  *smile*

Perhaps you've done that already, but for me (I think!) that is something that I do like for my future searching.

Would that serve as a bit of a "work-around" for you?

    Peace to you!

You can easily make customized, named ranges for the Bible:

    image

    1. Have search in Bible option

    2. Enter a new reference range

    3. Enter a range title

    4. That range becomes a permanent, named option:

An example of my own named options (mixed with casual searches that I didn't name):
