easiest way to transfer PDF files to ipad?
Is there an easier way to transfer/save PDF files to ipad, other than via itunes? I spent about 2 hours struggling with that yesterday, till I gave up trying to follow the manual instructions and eventually found something that worked - only I don't know if I could do it again...

Definitely drop box. If I you choose to use drop box, how about using this link: http://db.tt/m3NFZk5 . I get extra free space if I refer someone and they sign up. You get 2GB for free.

THANKS, rICHARD!
I already have dropbox Unfortunately the forum member who recommended it didn't make it clear enough that I could have upped his allowance by mentioning that I had been referred by him - and now I've got it, I can't help you up your allowance either. hopefully the Lord in his generosity will repay you for your help.
Does anyone know if there's an antivirus for ipad? Would Jing work on ipad? Probably not....

Dropbox is indeed the best storage solution, but may I also suggest GoodReader for reading them. It now comes with support for Dropbox built in, so you can open files from Dropbox, and also save into your Dropbox as well. I don't remember how much it costs but its WAY better then iBooks for reading PDFs.

thank you, Zachary. I have the free Goodreader. Will try it out. The paid version did not look too expensive either.

Hi Nicky,
I agree with Zachary, Good Reader is great. I love being able to highlight or make comments my notes or whatever I'm reading.

The iPad is an apple product, you don't need an antivirus.

I use Dropbox to move files of all kinds from one computer/device to another. I use it mostly for PDFs. It just works!

...yet!
Watch out though, as apple gains market share and popularity, they will become a target as well. I have heard of at least two trojans in the last 30 days that where made to target Macs. I am a Mac/iphone/iPad user so this isn't one of those PC vs Mac rants....

Oh yeah... I agree with everybody on the use of dropbox. Very simple and powerful!

Hi Redy - and welcome to the forums.
It sounds as though you have a general issue with PDFs as opposed to something specific to Logos software.
If so, probably best on more general ipad forums.
If an issue with Logos SW please start a new thread and explain what you are seeing

Lovely idea... I tried this very early on to make non mobile resources mobile.... Using an iPhone explorer that let me dig into the Logos app... I was quickly told by Logos staff there was nothing under the hood I could tweak, and that mobile resources are processed differently and are in no way similar to the resources on our computer... I was disappointed but understood... Doing what I was doing by someone not being careful could easily have ended up in a non functioning program, and while deleting and reinstalling should have solved the issue, it could have people reporting problems of their own making rather than an actual bug. Thankfully one can tell any resource compatible to install on your iPhone or iPad (or I am guessing android device) via the desktop program.
